On Thursday 9th June 2022, the staff of the Forestry Department held their annual staff meeting at the Victoria Park. In attendance was the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Rural Transformation, Industry and Labour Ms. Nerissa Gittens- Mc Millan, representatives from the Commercial Technical and Allied Workers Union and the Public Service Union Mr. Burns Bonadie and Mrs. Cathlene Nanton- Davis.
The meeting was chaired by Forestry Supervisor Mr. Casmus Mc Cleod; opening remark was done by Director of Forestry Mr. Fitzgerald Providence, FS Ag. Mr. Samuel Harry did a presentation on the Organizational Structure of the department. Forestry Personnel from the different ranges and unit within the department took the time also to voice certain issues that are affecting them at the work place. The meeting concluded at midday.
