March 21st was celebrated as International Day of Forest. To commemorate the day, the Forestry Services Forest Education Unit, in collaboration with the South Windward Range and the National Parks, Rivers and Beaches Authority, conducted a series of PowerPoint presentations focusing on the theme “Forest and Health“. A two days Exhibition was also held in Kingstown from March 21st to 22nd respectively to commemorate both International Day of the Forest and World Water Day, where information on Forest conservation, Wildlife management, Forest mapping, Watershed management and Silviculture were disseminated to the general public and school children from various educational institutions in and around Kingstown. The exhibition was supported through funding from the Ridge to Reef and IWEco Project.
